2019 Income Tax Returns - The individual and business state 2019 income tax return due on May 15th 2020, have been extended to July 15, 2020.

Revenue Information Bulletin 20-009 - Income and Franchise Tax Return Extensions and Other Matters Related to COVID-19.

2020 1st & 2nd Quarter Estimated tax payments - There is no extension for making the payments but will not be penalized if you pay at least 90% of the 2019 payment.  See Rev Ruling 20-002. release March 30, 2020.

February State Sales Taxes - On March 19, 2020, the Louisiana Department of Revenue released RIB No. 20-008, which details an automatic extension to May 20, 2020 for the filing and payment of February 2020 sales taxes. Delinquent penalties will be waived and interest will be compromised, however, returns must be filed by the extended due date in order to receive relief. Taxpayers must file using the LaTAP system or by paper in order to qualify for this extension relief. The relief will not be available through Parish E-File or Sales Tax Online.

March State Sales Taxes - There have not been an extension for filing or payment at this time.

February & March City / Parish of Baton Rouge - On March 17, 2020, Sharon Weston Broom, Mayor-President of the City of Baton Rouge, Parish of East Baton Rouge, issued a proclamation extending the time for filing East Baton Rouge Parish local sales tax returns for 30 days. Therefore, local sales tax returns due for the months of February and March 2020 will be considered on time if filed on or before April 20, 2020 and May 20, 2020 respectively.

Louisiana Workforce Commission - The LWC will be deferring payment due of 1Q 2020 unemployment taxes until June 1-30, 2020. Please note that the April 1-30, 2020 deadline for filing your 1Q 2020 Wage and Tax Report is still in place.
